This post was originally posted on WhyVisitCanada.com; however, I have recently decided to merge the two sites and keep the Adventure Freelancer as my only independent blog. I’m excited to announce that my Travel By Rail image won its category in the Travel Your Way contest.
When Rhino Car Hire launched their Travel Your Way photography contest, I’m sure they envisioned images from every corner of the globe. Instead, I’ve managed to enter all four categories without leaving the beautiful Canadian Rockies.
Travel By Road
The Icefields Parkway is widely considered a top-10 roadtrip and it’s little wonder why. The scenery is incredible.
Travel By Air
Climbing aboard a helicopter for a quick flight over the Canadian Rockies is certainly a great way to see Spray Lake near Canmore, Alberta.
Travel By Rail
Jasper, Alberta, might be a tourist destination, but it’s also a blue-collar rail town with a small-town atmosphere.
Travel By Sea
Although Maligne Lake isn’t a sea, it is the largest lake in Jasper National Park. It’s also one helluva canoe adventure to Coronet Creek Campground.
