Hot Lapse 72-Hour Photographer Showdown Winner
A few weeks ago – from March 3-5, 2014, Revelstoke Mountain Resort hosted the Hot Lapse 72-Hour Photographer Showdown.
The embedded video was shot by Reuben Krabbe. I’ve known Reuben since we attended Western Academy of Photography together. Since completing school, Reuben’s success has come through his work with professional skiers, snowboards, and mountain bikers. His presentation at Hot Lapse landed both the 1st place title and peoples-choice award. It shouldn’t be a surprise, as he’s collected awards at Kicking Horse’s Wrangle the Shoot, Banff’s Photographer Shootout, Whistler’s Deep Summer and Deep Winter. This is all aside from his laundry list of editorial and commercial clients.

Hot Lapse Runner Up
Steve Shannon, staff photographer for Selkirk Wilderness Skiing, stole second place.
Hot Lapse 3rd Place
Revelstoke local Zoya Lynch, who is both a pro skier and pro photographer took home 3rd place honours.
