Since I announced to the world that I’m planning to tackle the Tour Divide in 2014, I’ve been thinking about cycling. That’s right, in the middle of my ski season, I can’t take my mind away from cycling.
In many ways, the sport has surpassed skiing as my biggest sporting passion, yet I haven’t been on an extended bike tour since i cycled from Mendoza to Salta, Argentina, via Villazon, Bolivia. That ride was against the clock, too, as I had to exit Argentina before my 3 month tourist visa expired.
Anyhow, as I reflect on past adventure and consider how to get myself into good enough shape for the Tour Divide – I have 138 days left to train – I cannot help but laugh at how serious cyclists take themselves to be. Thankfully, the fine folks behind NSMB.COM just dropped a fresh video titled How to be a Road Biker that is, essentially a sequal to their original How to be a Mountain Biker.
