I spent last week cycling the Icefield Parkway with Ben Jhoty, following my own cycle guide that I wrote in June.
The weather made for a rocky start. We originally planned to cycle from Canmore to Jasper; however, unseasonably cold weather and heavy snow made us reorganize. We flipped the trip around and caught a ride north to Jasper. On Wednesday, we finally hit the road and started cycling the Icefield Parkway south towards Banff National Park. We opted for a relatively easy 3-day tour, staying overnight at hotels and eating in restaurants along the way.
