Jasper Dark Sky Photo Workshop
Join us as we explore the Jasper Dark Sky Preserve and its stunning location within the Canadian Rockies. We will spend the workshop photographing some of the best dark-sky places in Jasper National Park and share many of our favourite locations along the way.
Jeff Bartlett lived in Jasper for five years, and there are few photographers with better knowledge of its many photographic landscapes. This will be Jack Fusco’s 9th year attending the Jasper Dark Sky Festival, so being out under the stars in Jasper feels like being at his second home.
Our work from Jasper has been featured by National Geographic, NASA, the LA Times, Travel Alberta and many other outlets.
This year we’re offering one-night workshops on Friday, October 21, and Saturday, October 22. Both sessions also include a pre-workshop online fundamentals sessions and a post-workshop photo editing webinar.
KEY FACTS ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Dates: Two unique workshops, zero overlapping locations, so you can choose to join either or both!
- Friday, October 21, 2022 – Wide & Telephoto Astrophotography
- Saturday, October 22, 2021 – Exploring Athabasca Falls, and Pyramid Lake Areas
During many of our past visits to the Dark Sky Festival, we have been fortunate enough to photograph the Northern lights. If the opportunity presents itself on either night, we will change our plans to head to the best locations in the park to chase the aurora.
Cost: $299+GST per workshop. Sign up to both events and you will receive 10% off both nights.
Instructors: Jack Fusco and Jeff Bartlett
Both Oct 21 and Oct 22 Sessions, Oct 21: Wide angle and Telephoto Photo Workshop, Oct 22: Scale, Depth and the Human Element Photo Workshop
