Jenna Davis isn’t like most 22-year-old travel bloggers I’ve met; She’s trying to use her blog, Give For Granted to educate consumers about the poverty in the Canadian Arctic and to give those in need a warm winter jacket for the upcoming winter. It’s Toms shoes meets Arctic windchill.
Give For Granted’s Mission Statement sums it up nicely:
Help Keep Our True North Strong & Free
To create goods and apparel which are eye catching and high quality to promote consumer purchase, which will in turn support the people in our Northern communities within Canada. Instead of taking life for granted, Give For Granted and continue to keep our true North strong and free.
Give For Granted, Explained
As I mentioned, Jenna is also a travel blogger, but it seems obvious that since returning to Canada her passion and energy are pointed towards Give For Granted. Here’s her bio:
Hi there, My name is Jenna Davis and I am a 22 year old freelance blogger & business owner.
With a passion for adventure and social justice, I have been able to create a hybrid business which allows me to live my dreams while supporting others. Though it is a risk, it is a risk worth taking.
We visit the world to find the true meaning of life. For myself, the meaning of life was found after returning home from my world travels and visiting the arctic of Canada. I never expected to be faced with some of the most extreme poverty. It is so important to do what you love and love what you do. I have developed a webpage that allows me to share my travel experiences along with raising profits to purchase warm parkas for Northern Canadians living in poverty.
Help keep our true North, strong & free.
