I am photographing the Jasper Dark Sky Festival this weekend, so I wanted to share three videos that show off the often-overlooked beauty of dark skies.
Clear dark skies are one of my absolute favourite photography subjects. Because of the impressive technology of our cameras, it’s often possible to capture images that even our eyes cannot see. The added bonus is just how long we have to create images at night. It’s dark outside and the light doesn’t change for hours. It provides a rare opportunity to creatively work on composition and lighting.
